A smexy Titan auction to help celebrate 1000 watchers! It's been almost a year since the last Titan auction so this seems a bit overdue eh? I'm in love with this guy so he better get a good home. X3

--------------------------

"He strides over mountains
as the last of his kin;
His approaches stir fear
in the strong northern wind.
So great is his form
that the blizzards feel shame,
and the fury of the sun
will cast down its flame.

A desire for truth doth
engross his great soul;
a pursuit of all evil
to swallow it whole!
It is you, mighty one,
that we owe all our lives;
in the fury of the wind,
our great people thrive!"

-Excerpt from 'The Song of Vindhoste', translated

In ages past, during the infancy of their culture, the Krighest were a small group of wanderers, sailing the most dangerous seas in Equestria in search of a home. Their barbaric ways and disregard for even themselves, they were cast out of every civilized place they set hoof on; what land remained was empty and harsh, unwelcoming to the progressively saddened tribe. Years would pass before they found a place to stay, but it was far from ideal. Their travels took them far to the north, well beyond what was safe for ponies, to a cliff overlooking a raging sea. Snow and ice pummeled the small hamlet, with even the beaches constantly rising and falling with the ferocity of a hurricane. Upon making landfall, their ship was almost immediately shattered against the jagged rocks, stranding them in this fresh hell. The lonely tribe would have given up there, if not for their leader; a mighty pegasus by the name of Nimbus Stormbeard.

Nimbus towered over his people, a giant stallion that had never known the meaning of fear. Legends say he pulled every last piece of the wreckage straight up the mountain by himself, never once breaking a sweat, fending off wolves and bears all the while. Biting the wood into pieces with massive jaws, he rallied his followers together and began building; days of torturous work passed, starting and restarting over and over as the storm tore their efforts to pieces. It almost seemed like the blizzard was getting worse by the day, but Nimbus would not be deterred. Mustering all of his skill and leadership, the Krighest completed their first structure atop that tiny cliff. Though large enough to hold them all, it was by no means spacious, but it would have to do. Nimbus, mounting his shield proudly above the door,declared the day a success, but his people were not nearly as happy. As he stared at them all, their faces nearly in tears, for the first and only time in his life, he felt himself losing faith.

In that moment, almost as if by design, the storm hit again with untold force. Snow and wind battered down the walls, splintering them into tiny shards swept away like leaves. Nimbus, his unbroken spirit beginning to wane, closed his eyes to shield them from the blinding whiteness. All he heard was wind and faint screams; for how long, he couldn't tell. He only knew that he was beaten by this mountain... he had failed his people.

The screams faded... and his heart nearly stopped. Eyes shooting open as the wind began to die down, all he could see was snow and water. Nothing else, anywhere. His tribe was gone.

Nimbus collapsed to his knees, pounding the ground with the force of a boulder. Everything he had worked so hard for, generations of work, spending years at a time at sea, reminding them every single day that, someday, it would all pay off, and they would find their new home; but now, it was over. He was all that remained.

A heartbroken stallion, weak from grief and hunger, stood up. His gaze fixated on the far horizon, eyes narrowed in reflection of an emotion he had never felt before. He was not blind to the suffering his people had endured in their time, nor was he always the strong, unflinching leader they had known him as; but, in all his years, he had never before known such pure, burning rage.

A bellow echoed through the sky, reaching out for miles and miles, cutting through the gale with magnificent force. "HEAR ME, GODS! THEY CALL ME NIMBUS, LEADER OF THE KRIGHEST! YOU HAVE TAKEN AWAY EVERYTHING I CARED FOR, AND I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT! APPEAR BEFORE ME, SO THAT I CAN LOOK UPON YOU, THE COWARDS THAT HIDE BEHIND GENTLE BREEZES AND FLAKES OF SNOW! I OFFER ALL I HAVE LEFT - MY BODY, MY SOUL, AND MY ANGER - IN EXCHANGE FOR MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY! APPEAR NOW, DAMN YOU! APPEAR!!"

It would seem that his calls were, indeed, answered, but not by gods; high above the ocean, amidst the swirling vortex that doomed his tribe, shapes began to emerge. At first, he wondered if madness had finally set in, but no, the beings slowly descending to him were as real as he. They said nothing, perhaps even oblivious to his presence, seemingly content to fly about mindlessly, thoroughly enjoying the destruction and death that had wrought. Nimbus knew these figures from a story he heard as a colt; ghastly beasts in the form of horses that thrive on misery, bringing with them endless blizzards of suffering... the Windigos.

No one truly knows what happened next. Some say he made a deal with the creatures, others that he mustered what strength he had left to leap through the sky in a single bound, battling tooth and nail for his fallen brethren. All that is known for sure is that, the next morning, the cliffside was no longer empty. A small, confused group of ponies with nowhere else to go, found themselves in the warm sunlight, almost unable to recognize it as the same place they had made landfall on just days before... but, it was no longer an unforgiving wasteland; it was a home.

They all watched, mystified, as the clouds themselves drift away with unusual precision. Somehow, they all knew what had happened. It needed not be said; with the very elements that took everything from him under his undying command, Nimbus became the northern wind, lending aid to those trapped in their own, personal storms. It was then that they called him Vindhoste, and their new lives began.
