=Oobiedoobs wanted me to make them a Longzhu, that was a child between Dusk and Prince Obsidian with the specific traits she wanted, and this is what I came up with. ^-^ I'm pretty astounded with how this came out (and a little jealous that I don't get to keep her X3) and I really hope you like her too Oobie~ Hopefully the story isn't too much, I kinda went overboard. X3 You're free to change whatever you like about her, including the name and story. ^^

Cloudy Gem wasn't born by normal means. Due to some strange happenings in the Crystal Empire, some dark crystals from the caves underneath the city were harvested for testing. It was found that the crystals were fairly new, but no one could figure out why, as whenever a party went to examine the caves, all they could find was crystals. Obsidian and his followers were able to hide themselves in the shadows of the caves, and so remained undetected. Once the intruders were gone they would emerge to feast on more crystals while Obsidian created even more with his magic.

Princess Luna was able to pull some strings and get her hooves on one of the crystals brought up from the caves. She figured it could act as in interesting lesson for Dusk, she wanted to teach her the spell for turning these dark crystals into pure ones. If she was able to, it would be a major help if these unexplained crystal growths from beneath the empire ever made their way to the surface. Dusk was hesitant to try at first, she knew the effects that dark magic could have on a Longma, but she wanted to assist Luna in anyway she could, and so agreed.

Luna showed Dusk how to do the spell with a piece of the crystal, the dark gem turned from a cloudy black color, to a brilliant clear white color. Dusk then attempted on her piece, she charged up a magical blast from her horns, then fired it at the gem. However it didn't have the kind of effect that she wanted, it was a magical backfire which she was use to, and luckily the effect wasn't negative. As the smoke cleared, they saw that the crystal was completely gone, in it's place stood an adult Longma with holes in it's legs, transparent membrane for its wings, and a band across its belly. "A Longzhu..." Dusk said, looking the creature over. Dusk had known what these were, she had Longzhu foals once before, but the father had insisted they stayed with him as Changelings have trouble fitting in to pony life, much to her dismay. This Longzhu however was a grown adult, but it had traits and colors like Dusk, as though it was her child.

"This is interesting..." Luna said, looking the creature over. The Longzhu simply stood there, confused, like a child. She wouldn't speak as though she didn't know how to, it was as though she had the mind of a foal. Dusk decided she would take care of her to see if she could teach her to speak and take care of herself. Luna thought it was a wonderful idea, she would be able to study the process to see how well a Longzhu or Changeling could integrate into pony society. Dusk named her Cloudy Gem, named after the dark crystal she was born from.

It didn't take long for Dusk to teach her how to talk, how to act toward others, how to fly, and how to read, she was a very fast learner. Dusk would often take her out into Canterlot so she could see how others acted first hand, and she sometimes even flew her to Ponyville to meet others, some feared her at first but they soon grew to like her, she may have been part Changeling and looked strange, but she was kind and gentle.

One day on a visit to Ponyville, Dusk took her to a library that was being taken care of by a baby dragon while it's owner was away, to see if they could find a book that would catch her interests. Upon entering the building Cloudy smelled something curious, she crept around to find it while Dusk and the little dragon spoke. Her nose led her to a small box in an upstairs room, it was filled with gems and crystals. She almost couldn't help herself, they smelled so delicious, but she knew that the owner of them would be angry if she would to snack on them, so she took one out and brought it downstairs, and the little dragon was more than happy to let her snack on it.

Dusk was surprised to find out that Cloudy had a trait such as this, which she chalked up to being part dragon. Most dragons love to eat gems and crystals, and some even have noses that allow them to sniff them out. However, unknown to Dusk this was most likely a trait given by her father, the one who created the dark crystal Cloudy was born from. After discovering this Cloudy's Changeling instincts made her transform into her pony disguise, which startled Dusk. Her disguises Cutie Mark was a large purple gem, much like the one she had eaten a few minute prior.

At this point Dusk knew that Cloudy was all grown up, both in body and mind, and allowed her to go out into the world to sample the tastiest gems from all over Equestria. Cloudy doesn't wear her disguise much, as all of her friends prefer her the way she was born, even if she may seem a little scary or different to some, Cloudy isn't ashamed of who she is or what she looks like.

Obsidian is aware of Cloudy's existence, as he is directly linked to all of the crystals he makes, and plans to one day make a move to bring her to their side, she was be an invaluable asset to his plans, but only when the time is right...
